Do you have an English made picnic backpack or picnic basket?

We have found it very difficult to source English made picnic backpacks and picnic baskets, even though the style and design may be dictated by our English suppliers.

The Optima picnic baskets are hand assembled in Sussex, but the basket itself comes from a sustainable European willow farm in Poland.

The Optima picnic backpacks are made in the Far East

The Optima backpack and basket contents are for the most part also made in the Far East.

In terms of how you view the quality of Far East manufactured goods I have found that provided the quality control and design are UK or European led than there should be no problem. It depends to be honest on how good the UK supplier is! I have never had any Optima product returned on a quality issue.

Picnic at Ascot picnic backpacks are made either in Far East or USA. The contents are similarly sourced. Again, the quality control and assembly is all done in the UK.

I would say that my experience with Picnic at Ascot is the same as that with Optima, there are no quality issues. Other potential suppliers I have spoken to acknowledge that Picnic at Ascot backpacks are probably the best quality on the market.
